The name Sirupate derives from “Siru” (type of grass) which is very narrow and sharp. Unlike other khukuris the blade of this khukuri is very narrow so this khukuri is named Sirupate khukuri. This khukuri is very famous in Nepal. The khukuri is made of highly graded 5160 carbon steel with a balanced temper on the edge of the blade therefore it is very strong.
